What's your Legacy?
How will you be remembered?

This weekend my Lovely Wife and I wrapped up a nice vacation to Chicago. There was good pizza, an excellent date night, caught up with old friends - however the real reason we were there was a memoriam for one of her patients - Jim Reilly - and Ladies and Gentlemen, this man was the real deal.
There were eight speakers at this event: an assortment of CEOs, lawyers, friends, family, board members, and a retired Governor of Illinois; all speaking of his monumental contributions to Chicago..
In short, this man left a legacy.
One speaker made a claim that "there may never be another like him" and though his shoes are hard to fill, I couldn't help but be inspired to walk a similar path.
So….: What's your Legacy?
I don't know about you but that question inspires and haunts me sometimes. I'd like to leave behind a loving and successful family. I'd like to be remembered as someone who helped others; someone who brought smiles to nearly every occasion; a life in service to others.
I know I have a long ways to go, Heck, sometimes all the good stuff happens on your second and third career. :)
What about you?
What do you want to leave behind?
Who would you talk to see if you're on the right track?
A great book recommendation: "The Trillion Dollar Coach" a leadership biography about Bruce Campbell, the coach for Silicon Valley, and one of my most gifted books.
