How's your Reputation?

I’m convinced your network and your credibility within is your most important asset for your career.

To that end, I harp on my staff frequently (and unapologetically) the need to consider their street cred. So great care must be taken to reflect and safeguard this crucial nest egg.

So today I challenge you to reflect on your reputation:

-  Are you dependable?

-  Do you speak the truth?  (With tact and empathy? )

-  If given a task, do you run it to ground?

-  Do you take it a few extra steps to go the extra mile?

-  Does your staff enjoy working for you?  (How can you be sure?)

-  What’s your Say-Do ratio? (a post worthy of its own)

-  How does it tie to your Legacy?



A big one:

Who can you trust to give you honest, and sometimes blunt, feedback on your reputation? (hint: your boss should have a good opinion here, if not, press them for it)

If at the end of this research your reputation isn’t what you thought: “How can you repair it?”
